Shemale art

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Several erotic artists specialize in comic books, cartoons, or illustrations that feature buxom hermaphroditic, pre-operative transsexual (shemale), or t-girl characters. Such shemale art ranges in style from three-dimensional, computer-generated images and anime, hentai, or manga comic book-style sketches to fine art illustrations and paintings. Among the better known American artists who specialize in depicting such figures are Drew, Kinky Jimmy, and Doc West.

[edit] Anime and manga

Anime and manga hermaphrodites tend to be very simple figures. Their penises are relatively undefined, the glans often resembling a ball rather than a clear-cut, acorn-shaped structure, and the coloring is fairly crude, the penis being pink and the glans red, with light brown used to highlight and shadow. There is often a vaginal opening in the scrotum, between the testicles. In many anime drawings, the character is ejaculating. The facial features are simplified, and the figures have the huge eyes typical of the genre, with tiny noses and mouths and, often, hair that is green, purple, blue, or some other unusual color. The figures are either posed or engage in explicit sex with male, female, or other shemale characters.

[edit] Hentai

A few hentai artworks (anime or manga with "bizarre" imagery or themes) mix shemale figures with the genre’s fondness for tentacle sex. In Japan, until recently, it was illegal to show pubic hair or penile penetration of the vagina, so erotic artists substituted monsters equipped with multiple tentacles for penises, violating the female characters vaginally, anally, and orally (and shemale characters anally and orally) with these obvious penis substitutes. Perhaps this art form’s emphases on monstrous humanoid forms and violent sexual assault have led to its depictions of rape, humiliation, and BSDM by demons, monster women, hermaphroditic dick-girls, transsexual vampires, and other bizarre characters.

[edit] Drew

Because many of his transsexual characters closely resemble the female characters in popular Disney movies or DC or Marvel comic books, Drew’s art sometimes parodies these styles. Occasionally, Drew sketches lesbian characters wearing strap-on dildos. Most of the transsexual figures wear stockings, gloves, corsets, or lingerie, although some appear completely nude, in classic modeling poses or engaged in explicit sexual behavior with male characters or other shemale characters. Their figures, although feminine, are somewhat fuller than is fashionable among contemporary actresses and models, resembling more the body type of Marilyn Monroe or Gina Lollobrigida, and the genitals are much pronounced. His style tends to be simple, the figures being line sketches that he colors with pastels.

[edit] Kinky Jimmy

Some of Kinky Jimmy’s more recent art is colored in Photoshop, but some of it is still finished manually, in pencils. Other sketches are in black and white. Although some of his illustrations show subjects in various poses, many drawings depict explicit sexual behavior between male-shemale, shemale-shemale, or female-shemale couples or groups. Like Drew, Kinky Jimmy’s transsexual figures are sometimes parodies of characters from other popular forms of art. For example, one of his figures is reminiscent of a female character in Marvel Comics’ X-men. His style is similar to that of fantasy artist Olivia deBerardinis’. His hermaphroditic figures are equipped with enormous, usually erect, penises, which contrast sharply with the figure’s otherwise exaggerated femininity.

[edit] Doc West

Doc West’s fantasy and science fiction art specializes in depicting dominant women, dick-girls (i. e., hermaphrodites), and monster women. His early work was executed in pencils, but his later work is computer generated. Nevertheless, his art retains a classical, polished look that bridges the traditional and the technological. One of his three-dimensional (3-D), computer-generated illustrations, depicting winged transsexual fairies, complete with butterflies’ wings, resembles Henry Darger’s water colors of pre-pubescent hermaphrodites except that the figures are of adults rather than children.

[edit] Other shemale artists

Other shemale artsists include Baud_x, Chas, Dreamweaver, GDExcel, Gideon, Gemini Rex, Jace, Jingo, Kimberly, Nacho Grande, Penitent, Pittman, Starfish, TheArtist, TransXImagery, traX, and Zebodoy [1].

[edit] Baud-X

Baud_X draws dick-girls, hermaphrodites, and shemales. His style is realistic and features sadomasochistic behavior in which some of his his transsexual characters are the submissive partners to other, dominant shemales. His characters tend to be uncircumcised.

[edit] Chas

A 34-year-old Canadian artist, Chas has 10 years of experience in the comic book publishing business. His erotic shemale art is published in many periodicals and web sites. His characters are very feminine and sexy, tending to wear corsets and hiked-up skirts. They often sport studded penis sleaves.

[edit] Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver's art is more stylized than realistic, resembling that of Drew. It often contains fantasy elements and incorporates holiday themes. His shemale characters are as apt to be dominant as submissive, sometimes taking the insertive role in anal intercourse.

[edit] GDExcel

GDExcel draws cartoon, anime, and dick-girl characters in the style of Futurama or furry genre artists. His characters are apt to have bizarre genitals, with long, thick penises embedded with knots and bulges. Many are tattooed.

[edit] Gideon

Gideon's shemale character, Miss Torpedoes, is a brunette with enormous, round breasts equipped with huge nipples that give new meaning to the term "top heavy." She has a correspondingly colossal penis, the glans of which is pierced and equipped with a ring, and equally large testicles capable of releasing a copious ejaculation.

[edit] Gemini Rex

The three-dimensional shemale characters of Gemini Rex are intended to capture the sexual ambiguity of transsexuals. He uses Photoshop as well as pen and ink to create his shemale art.

[edit] Jace (pronounced "Jay-cee"

Jace's transsexuals are elfin creatures of petite size and stature. They have small, perky breasts and oversize penises that are about 20 percent the size of the rest of their bodies. She combines natural talent with recent artistic training to create a unique style that is both natural and polished.

[edit] Jingo

A self-taught artist of considerable raw talent whose models are photographs, Jingo draws and paints his characters by hand, scanning them into his computer. Rather than sketching hardcore sex scenes, he prefers to execute posed characters and he is beginning to experiment with rendering his art in black and white, using graphite, instead of color.

[edit] Kimberly

A transgendered artist, Kimberly uses her art as a means to understand her own sexuality. Her drawings, which are drawn in black and white, tend toward the depiction of sadomasochism and bondage, and some have a penitential twist, featuring nuns who oversee the discipline of wayward transsexual youths.

[edit] Nacho Grande

Nacho Grande's shemale art is computer generated and involves fantasy themes including transsexual demons.

[edit] Penitent

Penitent's transsexual characters are realistic, posed figures drawn in black and white media. Many wear thigh-high leather boots or stockings, garter belts, or customized brassieres. They tend to be tattooed.

[edit] Pittman

Pittman enjoys drawing shemale angels and demons with large breasts and enormous, circumcised penises and baseball-size testicles. They are realistically drawn, despite their feathered wings or fiery auras.

[edit] Starfish

Dominant shemales and transsexual bodybuilders are the main characters in Starfish's art, which he executes in pencil. They tend to look rather masculine, and Starfish favors uncircumcised penises over circumcised members.

[edit] The Artist

Th Artist is the pen name under which an internationally published illustrator creates his finely executed drawings. His characters are well executed, usually in pencil, with an attention to detail and consummate shading. Although they are as beautiful, glamorous, and feminine as any model or actress, The Artist typically includes a prop that indicates the ambiguity of their transsexual sexuality, having them smoke a cigar, wear a necktie, or interact with a genetic female.

[edit] TransXImagery

TransXImagery executes his art in full color, using a realistic style. Typically, his characters wear feminine clothes--a maid's uniform; a skirt, jacket, and stockings; lingerie--and are rendered with as much concern for background features as for the portraits of the characters so that the work has an almost photographic quality despite their having been drawn and painted by hand.

[edit] traX

traX sees shemales as representing a divine fusion of opposites, a "unity," as he says, "in a polarized, divided world," and as combining "the mysteries of both genders" [2]. Like TransXImagery, traX pays particularly close attention to detail in drawing both his characters and their settings. His backgrounds are rich in texture and patterned or geometric designs. His shemales have huge breasts and penises, emphasizing the opposite sexual characteristics that are united within them.

[edit] Zebodoy

A French artist, Zebodoy draws muscular shemale characters that resemble a feminine Arnold Schwartzeneggar. With relatively small heads; gigantic penises; huge, swelling muscles; cord-like ligaments; long hair; beautiful faces; ample breasts; and small waists, they are as masculine as they are feminine. Zebodoy says five rules govern his shemale art: "sexy face, huge muscles, great guns, big boobs, and cock in proportion" [3].

[edit] Themes and motifs

A survey of shemale art, including doujinshi, or fan art, discloses the following recurring themes and motifs:

  • Exaggerated penis size, especially in regard to hermaphrodites with penises longer than those of their male lovers
  • Oversize testicles
  • Large-to-huge breasts
  • Interest in fashion (especially punk styles) and lingerie on the part of shemale characters
  • Copious ejaculations of semen
  • Bondage and discipline acivities
  • Fondness for fellatio, including autofellatio
  • Science fiction and fantasy backgrounds and costumes
  • Depictions of shemales as angels or demons; it is said some angels/demons are both male and female (see androgynous).
  • Masturbation and the use of sex toys
  • Depiction of shemales as warriors
  • Group sex
  • Displays of erect penises
  • Penchant for anal intercourse
  • Reconciliation of opposite sexual characteristics or emphasis of same, depending on the artist's point of view and purpose

[edit] Independence of shemale art

Especially in the United States, shemale art was initially an adjunct to the pornographic photographs and videos that web sites offered members who paid to subscribe to their “clubs” or “online magazines.” However, this art soon became a sought-after commodity in its own right, with the result that artists set up their own web sites to display and sell their works of shemale art.
