Michelle "Shelly" Williams was a fictional character on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale. She was played by Carolyn Pickles.

Shelley fell in love with Alan Turner, only to face violent opposition from his psychopathic daughter, Steph. After much fighting, Steph decided to get Shelley back, and to make her go back to Alan, Shelley's love. Shelley was having non of it when Steph followed her on a ship to Scotland and when Steph tried reach out to her, Shelley walked back and accidently slipped on the railings and into the sea .Steph, thinking she'd get the blame, threw her suitcase in as well. Her death had never been confirmed, but it is thought that she met a watery end after slipping into the water. In November 2006, it emerged that her suitcase had been found off the coast of Scotland. Steph later admitted to Alan she had watched Shelley drown.
