Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie bin Sheikh Mustapha (born July 27, 1972) is expected to become the first Malaysian Angkasawan (Cosmonaut) and the first Southeast Asian to go into space when he is launched towards the International Space Station aboard Soyuz TMA-11 in September 2007.

Sheikh Muzsaphar is an orthopaedic doctor and a trainee lecturer in medicine with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He is also a model, and has modelled for many commercials and advertisements.
He was selected at the beginning of 2006 with three other finalists to undergo training at Star City in Russia, and was finally selected as prime crew for Soyuz TMA-11 in September 2006.
Faiz Khaleed served as Malaysia's back-up angkasawan in the program.
