Sheikh Jabir al-Kaabi

Sheikh Jabir al-Kaabi (Arabic: شيخ جابر الكعبي‎) was the leader of the Bani Kaab Arab tribe and the Sheikh of Mohammerah during the 19th century. He had two sons, Sheikh Maz'al, who succeeded him as tribal leader, and Sheikh Khaz'al. A strong and outspoken leader, Jabir was close with Nassereddin Shah Qajar and was a vital force in successfully defending Khuzestan from invading British and Ottoman forces.
