The Sheffield International Documentary Festival (SIDF) is an annual film festival held in Sheffield, England. It is commonly abbreviated as the Sheffield Doc/Fest.

First held in 1994, the SIDF has grown to become the United Kingdom's leading event for the factual film and television industry. Each year it offers a forum for producers, distributors, commissioners, filmmakers and emerging talent. The festival aims to provide opportunities to build the creative and business relationships that drive the factual genre.

Sponsors of the festival include the EEC, Sheffield City Council, the UK Film Council, Arts Council England, the BBC, Channel 4, Sky One, Granada Television, and UKTV, among others. Annual events include the Channel 4 Sheffield Pitch - an opportunity for eight shortlisted documentary directors to bid for a £30,000 commission to make a 30-minute documentary.

Patrons include Joan Bakewell CBE, Melvyn Bragg, David Blunkett MP, Lorraine Heggessey and Michael Palin.

The 2006 SIDF runs from 30 October - 5 November.
