Sheepskin

Sheepskin has multiple meanings:
- Sheepskin is the skin of a sheep or the leather made from it.
- The term is used to refer to a parchment (recalling ancient parchments which were made from sheepskin). Thus, also a slang term for an academic diploma or degree.
- "Operation Sheepskin" was a secret, NATO stay-behind operation which established a network of both military and non-military armed force prepared to form the nucleous of resistance in case Greece would be invaded by the Soviet Union. This operation was common in central Europe during the Cold War and is better known as Operation Gladio.
