Shediac, New Brunswick
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The town calls itself the "Lobster Capital of the World", hosts an annual lobster festival every July, and the world's largest lobster sculpture is situated at the main entrance to town. However, lobster stocks in the Northumberland Strait have been dwindling in recent years. Several restaurants still serve the dish, mostly to tourists that make Shediac one of the province's busiest tourist destinations.
Also in Shediac is Parlee Beach provincial park, known for its sand bars and warm water; and the scenic wharf at Pointe-du-Chene.
