[edit] History and Info

Shea High School was named after a well known Pawtucket resident, Charles Shea.

Shea High has seen a low test score history for the past couple of years. If the State did not see an increase in state test scores, they were going to take control of the school. Recently the class of 2006 had improved those test scores a dramatic 86%. With the improvement, this got Shea out of the state's eye. In the eyes of many Shea is the inferior high school in Pawtucket with 80% including the mayor believing that Tolman High School the city's other public high being greatly superior.
