She's Got You is a famous Country/Pop song written by Hank Cochran and was first recorded and released as a single by Patsy Cline in 1962.
"She's Got You" was written as Patsy Cline's follow-up single to her two previous big hits she had the previous year, which were "I Fall to Pieces" and "Crazy", both released in 1961. The song was released on January 30, 1962. The song immediately went to #1 on the Country charts and to #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was very important to Cline's career because it marked her first hit single in the United Kingdom (UK), reaching #43 there. The song instantly became a classic soon after its release and was one of the songs to help jumpstart Cline's career. The hit became so successful, it lead to an appearance on American Bandstand with Dick Clark that February and led to Cline having her own show in Las Vegas that November. "She's Got You" was followed by a couple other minor hits that year like "Imagine That", "When I Get Thru With You", "So Wrong" and "Strange". On August 6, 1962, Patsy Cline's third album Sentimentally Yours was released. This album featured Cline's hit "She's Got You". Musically the song is an upbeat Jazz/Pop song with Country overtones to support it.
"She's Got You" has been covered by numerous artists, such as LeAnn Rimes, Jimmy Buffett and Loretta Lynn. In 1979, the song became a #1 Country hit for Lynn, when her her tribute album to Cline called I Remember Patsy was released.
