Shchmue was raised by musicians, and accordingly harbors a deep love for music. He has sung in choruses from a young age and played the horn and percussion in concert bands, as well as dabbled in electric guitar. He mostly enjoys listening to music that demonstrates great technical proficiency on the part of the performers, even if it is extremely dissonant. That is not, however, to say that he has no guilty pleasures in the popular arena.
