[edit] Dubious
As I believe you found out, simply remove {{dubious}} from the page. However, based on the talk page, I believe {{cleanup}} was what was intended to be added, since I can't find any dispute. I went ahead and changed the tag. Prodego talk 15:53, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

- I did find out (my first dispute resolution). Thanks again for the quick help :-) --Shawn wiki 15:57, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] See Also Section
Prodego,
Did you also remove the 'see also' section? Just wanted to check before putting it back in.
Shawnk --Shawn wiki 16:04, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- No, I didn't mean to. A bug with the Google toolbar causes parts of pages to be cut off sometimes, I'll go ahead and put it back. Prodego talk 16:09, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Having trouble with link to my first original article
I just created an article...
Implementation Inheritance (Object-oriented programming)
I thought the link would be...
It did not work and tryed to vary the link but that did not work.
The URL to the article is...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implementation_Inheritance_%28object-oriented_programming%29
Am I missing something???
Shawnk
PS. I'm still pretty new at this. Thanks for any help.
- In your redlink above, you are using the incorrect case (A lowercase 'i' for inheritance).
- You can set up a redirect at the lowercase name to avoid this problem.
- Also, in Wikipedia we use lowercase (except for proper nouns), eg Drawing board not Drawing Board. You may neen to move your article to the lowercase name, I'm not familiar with subject and am unsure.
- Please use {{helpme}} again if any of this is not clear.--Commander Keane 13:18, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks for the note on case specific. Everything is working :-)
[edit] New article not appearing on topic search
I am testing my new article for searchability (on the WikiPedia search box).
I have my WikiPedia links working to a new article which is...
When I test the article via a topic search for..
[1] implementation inheritance
OR
[2] Implementation inheritance
OR
[3] Implementation Inheritance
OR
[4] Implementation Inheritance (object oriented programming)
OR
[5] Implementation inheritance (object oriented programming)
OR
[6] Implementation inheritance (object-oriented programming)
Only [6] comes up with the correct page. I would like all searches to (ideally) bring the page right up. I would be happy if just [1] and [2] worked.
This search result is different for a closly related article..
Question: Should I rename or change the article
I want to adhere to WikiPedia conventions but could not find a page/section of 'Testing your new article' that includes the search conventions, etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
Shawnk --Shawn wiki 14:29, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's search facility is only updated sporadically, every few weeks or so. However the "Go" button works immediately if you use the exact spelling (and case). One way to influence the search is to set up redirects from common names.
- Wikipedia:Naming conventions will help you choose the correct title for your article, and you can set up redirects from the other names. Use {{helpme}} again if you require further assistance.--Commander Keane 14:37, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
-
- Thank you so much. I'll recheck the naming convention and then make some redirect pages. Shawnk --Shawn wiki 14:43, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

- On second thought I'll wait until the article comes up in the normal search and any thing not going right to the page I'll make a redirect page for.

[edit] Can not locate cleanup tag in article
I tryed to remove the cleanup tag from the article..
...but could not find the location of the tag.
By Wikipedia convention does the clean up tag go at the head of the article?
Is there a way to search for a clean up tag buried in an article with many sections?
I read the 'de-list' section of the WikiPedia Cleanup Process article. I also know what the cleanup tag looks like.
Shawnk talk —-Shawn wiki 15:47, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
PS. Please forgive me is the answer is right in front of face :-)
- In this case the cleanup tag is right on top of the article. Click the edit tab on top of the page & you can find the {{cleanup-date|June 2006}} right on top. If an entire article is in need of cleanup or any other maintenance then the cleanup tag goes to the top of the article. If a particular section is in need of any maintenance then that section is tagged. To find a cleanup tag of a particular click the "edit" button above that particular section - the tag will be right on top of the section. Hope that clears it up. --Srikeit (Talk | Review me!) 15:54, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
-
- I think I know what the problem is (maybe). I am not the original author of the article.
-
- When I see the article the first edit tag I see is for the general section.
- I do not see an edit tag for the top. Is this right?
-
-
- I got it. I was not using the 'edit this page' menu item.

[edit] Sandbox destroyed
Someone destroyed the WikiPedia sandbox template and I could not get a sandbox. I have heard that we can get our own sandbox so we don't have to worry about this.
How can I get my own sandbox :-(
PS. Thanks ahead of time :)
Shawnktalk—-Shawn wiki 04:17, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- Just create a subpage of your user page ie User:Shawn wiki/Sandbox. Any further questions, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. ViridaeTalk 05:01, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
-
- Thank you :-)
-
- I'll give this a try tomorrow.

[edit] suggested deletion of Object_association
I've added the "subst:prod|reason" template to the article Object_association, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at [[Talk:{{{1}}}]]. If you remove the template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
[edit] suggest merging Implementation_inheritance with Inheritance (CS)
Sorry if I seem to be hounding here; I really don't see why Implementation_inheritance cannot be part of the Inheritance (CS) page. It looks like maybe this is being kept alive artificially by making a bunch of other pages link to it, but it seems like this stuff belongs with the rest of OO inheritance. Am I missing something?Harborsparrow 00:16, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
