[edit] Soul Calibur character articles

- I think its great you're making pages for some of the Soul Calibur characters. I do have an issue with your saying "____ has appeared in all subsequent sequels". Since the only sequel to SC is SC2 so far, you're implying that there is more than one sequel. This will be true in Fall 2005 (late August I believe), but it is not yet. Also, some of the characters are not officially confirmed yet either. For example, Cervantes has not been officially confirmed for SC3 as far as I know. Consequently I think its best to mention that a character apperaed in both SC and SC2 and is confirmed or not confirmed for SC3. Bubbachuck 04:11, 21 July 2005 (UTC) +

I put a message in your profile regarding that and have made the appropriate changes. Now let's forget this ever happened, even if it will be permanently engraved in the history of the page. --Shackleton (21 July 2005)

[edit] Seung Mi Na vs. Seung Mina

I'll revert it back. If you want to mention that "Mi Na" is more correct than "Mina" you can do so in her Discussion page. You can explain your reasoning too. Bubbachuck 07:25, 23 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] sorry

I forgot about that last names come first. --Dangerous-Boy

[edit] Tekken characters

The last few months of edit history on the List of Tekken characters article (where all the profiles were previously kept) haven't shown much growth; mostly just cleanup and re-organizing. It doesn't seem like many of them will expand much over time, as some characters seem to be completely irrelevant to the storyline.

However, I do see how such a quick follow-up to the previous VFD would incite bad feelings, even if I didn't intend it that way. User:Tony Sidaway has already deleted it, anyway, so I guess I'll just leave it alone for a while and let the Tekken fans sort it out. I noticed that a few users have already redirected some of minor characters to Tekken characters.

In any case, thanks for the feedback. --Poiuyt Man talk 06:35, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Yoshi

Hey good job on fixing up the Yoshimitsu (video game character) page. I like the profile information you have...though I wish the SC profile were first I'll concede for historical reasons. I'm not sure if its a good idea to call the two Yoshis "nearly identical" because really, its all in the looks...from what I've seen, they play nothing alike. I'll tinker with that intro a lil bit. Overall though, great job. I will try to upload representative videos for the other characters too, so that it can be its own section. There's a wealth of videos out there. [edit] List of Soul Calibur terms

I made the page before I checked to see whether there was a list of fighting terms, however I do believe it has its merits. Although I agree that many of the SC terms apply to other fighters as well, like Okizeme and Whiff, many are specific to Soul Calibur, like Step Guard or 2-guard or Attack Throw etc. I will eventually link to the main fighting terms list for more info once I nail down the specifics to the SC game engine. I am not very familiar with other fighting games so if someone were to merge the pages together, I would hope one with an intimate knowledge of all the fighting games covered would do so. I have not looked thoroughly but even if there is no precedent for a terms list, that does not mean one shoudl not exist. Such a list is useful for the general audience who wants to learn more about the game. I want the List... page to appeal to the general audience but I do hope that someone who is looking for more insight would also find the page helpful. That is why I have made the page as readable as I can without going overly technical. Also please keep in mind that I will add a lot more terms later, as well as a quick overview of the numbering system (e.g. 236B) when I have the time. I am not used to the actual names of the moves b/c I generally use the numbering system b/c it describes the move input, making it easier to remember for someone who plays but I will look them up and add them for the general public. You can vote to merge, and it will probably pass because I'd bet most people do not know enough about the engine and would just assume fighting game terms would apply equally to everyone. However I feel that would worsen Wikipedia overall because the overall disorderliness would increase. I could eventually list 15 or so terms unique to SC and 20 terms that apply to fighting games in general. -- Bubbachuck 20:17, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

i'm prob gonna move the page to wikibooks once i learn how. -- Bubbachuck 04:32, 13 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Yunsung

sure i could make it but it seems that you know the most about the story. i have a very rough idea of his backstory but i can make a preliminary version. i'm (supposed to be) busy this next week but i'll do what i can. -- Bubbachuck 08:49, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

its done. copy-pasted history from List... site. commence obsessive-compulsive edits. -- Bubbachuck 04:30, 13 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hayate

Disambiguation is only necessary if there is another meaning of the article title. If Hayate only refers to the DOA character, it should stay undisambiguated. Zoe 22:36, August 16, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] How are you doin?

Haven't heard from you in awhile. You doing OK? -- Bubbachuck 04:28, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image uploads

Hi. I notice that you have uploaded more than two-hundred and fifty images under the "fairuse" tag, without providing either a source or a fair use rationale. Please see Wikipedia:Fair use for Wikipedia's fair use policy. Thanks. Jkelly 23:54, 15 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Tekken5YoshiProfile1p.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Tekken5YoshiProfile1p.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. -- Carnildo 09:21, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey thanks for the message!

I'm 68.233.141.149. I do in fact have an account already, I just sometimes forget to log in when making an addition as my cookies are a bit awkward. Sometimes It'll log out even if I try to keep logged in once in a while, or sometimes I just forget to do that altogether.

But thanks for the commentary anyways!--Kiyosuki 05:46, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
