I was mentioned in Times of India when we had a meet of select Livejournal blogger from Mumbai. You can read the manuscript on my blog

We, the livejournal bloggers met on 6 June 04 at Natural's, Marine Drive. The ambiance at natural's is really good. And I, for the first time, saw so many geeks at one place! (No kidding)
The meet was mentioned in Times of India in the next week. It shows the power of bloggers and the power of technology.

I wrote a series of articles on Word and excel in the "Computer Education and training" weekly in the year 1998. The articles were the part of my book published earlier in that year. The first edition of my book, "Essential Skills - Word and excel" is out of print. Here is one more article published in CET back then.
The most important tip was keyboard shortcuts...
Ctrl + A : Select All
Ctrl + P : Print
Ctrl + S : Save
Ctrl + Home : Beginning of the document
Ctrl + End : End of the document
The book was sold with a floppy that contained the software that would add a toolbar with icons for line spacing and alignment. Cusomization tips were included in the appendix for ready reference.

जनभारती (डॉ. अलका इराणी यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली) या प्रकल्पांतर्गत "प्रिती पाटील" यांनी हा शब्दकोश (आवृत्ती ०.१) तयार केलेला आहे. या प्रकल्पाचे 'विकास, व्यापक उपयोग आणि त्यासाठी सामुहिक सक्षमीकरण प्रकल्प' असे स्वरूप आहे.
या प्रकल्पामध्ये संगणकीय शिक्षण प्रसार कार्यात गुंतलेल्या अन्य गटांचादेखील सहभाग असून याद्वारे ग्नु/लायनक्स प्रणालीच्या आधारे विकसित करण्यात आलेल्या सॉफ्टवेअरचा व्यापक उपयोग करून भारतीय भाषांमध्ये आणि भाषिकांमध्येदेखील ही प्रणाली जनप्रिय करण्यात येत आहे. या प्रकल्पाला 'भारतीय भाषेतील तंत्रज्ञान विकास' (Technology Development in Indian Language, TDIL) या भारत सरकारच्या माहीती तंत्रज्ञान मंत्रालयातील विभागाने निधी उपलब्ध करून दिला आहे.कोणालाही मुक्तपणे उपयोग करता येण्यासारखी ही (फ्री/ओपन सोर्स) एक संगणकीय प्रणाली असून सर्व भारतीयाना ती सहजपणे उपलब्ध व्हावी, आणि स्थानिक-भाषेतील संगणकीय वापर वाढावा असा हेतू या प्रकल्पामागे आहे.
सद्यस्थीतीत फक्त "शब्द तपासणी" यात उपलब्ध आहे. पुढील सुधारित आवृत्त्यांत इतरही सुविधा पुरवण्याचे नियोजन आहे.
