I call myself Shabdiz and am fairly new to Wikipedia as an editor. My main interests are articles related to Iranian classical music and have already contributed some articles. I am in the process of cleaning up other articles about Iranian classical music.

[edit] My nickname

Shabdiz is the name of the legendary and beloved horse of Khosrau Parvez, a Sassanid king. It was Barbad, who through a song - potentially risking his life - informed the king of Shabdiz's death.

I listen to a diverse set of music. The main music however is Iranian classical music. I play the Setar too.
