Shawntae Spencer (born on February 22, 1982 in the Pittsburgh suburb of Rankin, Pennsylvania) is a cornerback in the NFL. He went to University of Pittsburgh. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2nd round (58th overall) in 2004 NFL Draft. In 2005, he had 83 tackles and 4 interceptions.

Spencer is a tall corner with long arms, who jams well, and has great long speed and can go deep with his wideout. He knows the game and gets good position. He has improved every season in college. He still has technique and concentration lapses and will lose focus and get caught flat-footed. He can get turned around and will struggle against quicker-cutting wide receivers. He lacks a thick frame and can get knocked around in run support.
