Shaun Gladwell critically engages personal history, memory and contemporary cultural phenomena through performance, video, painting and sculpture. He completed Associate Research at Goldsmiths College, University of London, in 2001 and has since undertaken numerous residencies and commissions.
His work has been exhibited in major national and international exhibitions, including The Mind is a Horse, Bloomberg Space, London (2001) and, most recently, in the Yokohama 2005 Triennale of Contemporary Art: Art Circus (Jumping from the Ordinary), Japan; First We Take Museums, KIASMA, Finland; and Space Invaders, Museum Kunsthaus Baselland, Switzerland.
He currently has work touring nationally and internationally in Vanishing Point, an Experimenta project, and Art Connexions, an international exchange initiative of the Goethe Institut.
