In her early thirties she left Cornwall to live in Cyprus, where her writing career began. Moves to Dubai and Sharjah followed before returning to the United Kingdom in 1996 to study at the University of Bristol. She later completed her MA in Creative Writing at the University of Wales. She is a member of The Society of Authors, SCBWI and CBI.

She now lives, with her husband, on the Pembrokeshire border in a beautiful medieval watermill complete with lake and ducks.
