Sharon Moravian Church is a church in central Saint Thomas Parish in Barbados which was built by the Moravians in 1799 who had previously settled on the island in 1765. The Moravians were German missionaries who wanted to bring Christianity and education to the slaves. They were the first Europeans to encourage slaves to join their congregation. The church is unspoilt by modernisation and illustrates the architecture influences from Europe where the Moravian faith began.
