Sharon Maughan

Sharon Patricia Maughan (born 22 June 1951 in Kirkby, Merseyside) is an English television actress.

Maughan has played Nurse Tricia Williams in the BBC television drama series Holby City since 2003, but recently announced that she will be leaving the programme in December (see[1]).

Prior to her casting in this series she was most famous in the UK for a seven-year stint from 1990 to 1997 in the popular television advertisements for Nescafé Gold Blend instant coffee (Taster's Choice in the US), alongside the actor Anthony Stewart Head.

Maughan married fellow actor Trevor Eve in 1980 and they have three children together, including actress Alice Eve.

She attended RADA when she was 18 years old and went on to act in several television series, including The Enigma Files and The Flame Trees of Thika.

The actress has worked in theatre, television and film, including Inspector Morse, A Doll's House, Arcadia, and Another Stakeout.
