Sharon Kane (born Sharon Louise Cain on February 24, 1956 in Ohio, USA) is an American bondage model and erotic actress. She has appeared in many adult magazines and pornographic movies, in both dominant and submissive roles.

Sharon grew up in Ohio, where she attended high school and trained in classical violin for 15 years. After she graduated she moved to San Francisco, California and began work as an exotic dancer at a club called The Screening Room in the mid-70's.
Sharon entered the porn industry in 1978, and her first big break came with the movie Exposed in 1980. She holds the world record for appearing in over 859 pornographic movies [1] (although this is disputed, since porn actress Sharon Mitchell has appeared in over 2,000). She has won two X-Rated Critics' Organization Awards for the movie Throat - 12 Years After in 1984 and Bodies In Heat #02 in 1989, and one Adult Video News Award in 1990 for Bodies In Heat #02.
As her roles in mainstream porn decreased, she starred in a number of bisexual male-male based porn films, which often include scenes pairing Sharon with two bisexual men and/or transexuals. She has undergone plastic surgery, and maintains an attractive physical appearance.
Sharon Kane is member of both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame.
Today Sharon Kane works behind the camera as director, production manager, art director and film composer for 13 movies. She wrote the scores for 1997's The Hills Have Bi's and Chi Chi La Rue's Idol In The Sky. She directed and starred in Stairway to Paradise, the movie featured in the book Coming Attractions: The Making of an X-Rated Movie.
