Sharon Fountain

Sharon Fountain (born 1956) is an English folk artist. Much of her work is self-penned.
Sharon Fountain was born in Barnsley and studied French and German at Aston University.
Sharon has produced three commercial recordings of her work. The first and second, This Could Be, and Razorblade Earring, are now deleted and were only produced on cassette tape. The third, Songs Almost Sung, was produced on cassette and CD and is still available from the artist.
Sharon Fountain has been awarded the Redcar Folk Festival Prize for best singer-songwriter twice in her career and lives in Barnsley.
