Sharky and George (original name: Sharky et Georges) was a French children's TV cartoon in the 1980s. It was translated to English and shown on Sky Channel and Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, and RTÉ2 in Ireland.
Sharky and George was a humorous show about two fish private detectives. Sharky, the bigger fish, is a pink shark, has a huge nose, and wears a Humphrey Bogart -style fedora hat. George, the smaller fish, is blue with a yellow face, and looks noticeably younger than Sharky.
The show is mainly noted for its catchy theme song, with the chorus "Sharky and George - the crime busters of the sea/Sharky and George - clear up any mystery".
The cartoon was made by the Canadian animation company CinéGroupe who were also responsible for the cartoon Ovide and the Gang.
