Shapur III

Shapur III was King of Persia from 383 to 388. Son of Shapur II (309–379), he was elevated to the throne by the magnates against his uncle, Ardashir II (379–383), and killed by them after a reign of five years. He concluded a treaty with the Roman Emperor Theodosius I (379–395).
