Shanghai Zhongshan Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shanghai Zhongshan Park was founded in 1914. Before then it was a private garden owned by a British property developer. The park was originally named Zhaofeng Park, and is renamed in honour of Dr. Sun Zhongshan at 1944. It sits in the centre of the Changning District, in the city of Shanghai, and has a large collection of trees and flowers.
A nearby metro station is named after it. This station is the current western terminus of Line 3 and a station on Line 3 and Line 4. Currently there is ongoing construction to extend Line 2 further westwards extending the line to the Hongqiao airport. This station is also one of the only stations to have a store inside the station, the Silver Fruit bakery, which is in the interchange passage between Line 2 and Line 3/Line 4.
