Shane Wakelin (born August 12, 1974) is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.
Recruited from the Port Adelaide Football Club in the SANFL in the 1992 AFL Draft, Wakelin debuted in the AFL in 1994 with the St Kilda Football Club. He was noted as a hard-working defender at the Saints and was part of a defensive combination with his twin brother Darryl during the mid to late 90s that was considered very effective.
Wakelin played just 4 games in 2000 and became disgruntled, he was later picked up by the Collingwood Football Club where he reignited his career and continued his trademark consistency out of defence.
