Shane Warren Kippel (born June 4, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian television actor. He is Jewish. [citations needed]
As of 2001, he appears as a regular cast member in the part of Gavin "Spinner" Mason on Degrassi: The Next Generation, which is broadcast on CTV in Canada, ABC in Australia, and The N in the United States and all over the world. He starred as Chad the Jock in the 2003 film Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, which was tagged as "A teenager's guide to heavy metal, cheerleaders, true love, and Satan."
He also did a guest starring on Life With Derek as the I-Wanna-Rock drummer in "D-Rock", Derek's band which is taken over by Casey.
He has lost about 50 pounds since starting taping for Degrassi[1], and has even mentioned so during interviews on The-N.
