Shane was an ITV sitcom written by and starring Frank Skinner, originally broadcast in 2004. Apart from a few exceptions, reviews were mostly poor,[citation needed] but viewing figures were reasonable throughout its run. A second series has been recorded[citation needed] but is yet to be broadcast, and looks unlikely ever to appear.
