Shane
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shane is a given name, typically for boys, but also for girls. It comes from the Northern Irish pronunciation of the early Anglicized form of the name Seán, which has a derivation similar to the English name John. It means "God is gracious." It can also be a suffix to "Mc", "Mac", or "O'" to form Anglicized Irish surname patronyms.
