Shanagarry

Shanagarry (An Seangharraí in Irish) is a village in east County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The village is located along Ireland's southern coast, and is mostly known for Ballymaloe House,and as the location of Darina Allen's Ballymaloe cookery school and gardens. It is also the home of the well respected Irish Potter Stephen Pearce, and as the last Irish home of William Penn before he settled in Pennsylvania in the United States. Also to be found in Shanagarry is the historic Old Road an ancient Irish causeway and home to the original residents of the village.
