Shamwari Game Reserve

Shamwari Private Game Reserve is located near Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. It is part of the Mantis Collection and has been voted the best game reserve in South Africa for six consecutive years.

Shamwari has six lodges, all of five star quality. They are Long Lee Manor, Eagles Crag, Bayethe, Riverdene, Bushmans and Lobengula.

Far more important than the luxury accommodation is the management, development and rehabilitation of an ecosystem almost destroyed by centuries of farming.

In 2005 the Reserve was awarded the Global Nature Fund Award for Best Conservation Practice.
