Shamrock Bowl
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Shamrock Bowl is the championship game of the IAFL. The holders of the trophy are the Dublin Rebels, after going undefeated in 2006 and finally beating the University of Limerick Vikings to win their 4th consecutive Shamrock Bowl.
The Shamrock Bowl was also the name of the only All American Football Conference (1946-49) All-Star Game in the league's short history. It was played at the end of the 1949 season of American professional football. The game, played in Houston, TX, was the last game in the history of the AAFC before it folded and several teams were absorbed by the NFL.
