Shamil Altaevich Sabirov (Russian: Шамиль Алтаевич Сабиров) (born April 4, 1959 in Karpinsk, Sverdlovsk Oblast) is a retired boxer, who won the golden medal for the USSR in the light flyweight division (-48 kg) at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. In the final he defeated Cuba's Hipólito Ramos on points (3-2).
A light-flyweight, Sabirov was one of the best amateur boxers in the world in the 1970s. He represented Trud Voluntary Sports Society at the national level. Sabirov won the gold medal at the European championships in 1979. Two years later, he captured the bronze medal. Sabirov is of jewish origin.
