Shahrak-e Gharb

Shahrak-e Gharb or Shahrak-e Qods (in Persian شهرک غرب) is a planned town built as a massive project of modern apartment buildings in the western part of Tehran, Iran. Today it is considered one of Tehran's neighborhoods.Its name means "the West Town".

Shahrak-Gharb district, home to Tehran’s affluent, is the only large district in Tehran which complies with international standards for new and modern cities; easy access to expressways such as Chamran (Park-Way), Hemmat, Hakim, Niyayesh, Sheikh-Fazlollah and Yadegare-Imam, proximity to four major hospitals, in the vicinity of three large and famous shopping centers (Golestan,Iran-Zamin and Millad), numerous parks, cinema and cultural center , as well as police & fire stations, post office and much more. An International School is located nearby, within Shahrak-Gharb, and a second is minutes away in Saadat-Abad. Shahrak-Gharb, thanks to the eastward current of the air in Tehran and its constant purification by the adjacent mountains, is less polluted compared to other northern parts of the city. These and many more advantages have made Shahrak-Gharb area a prime and pleasant location for living, attracting many diplomats and expatriates.
