Sha Tin Junior School (沙田小學) is a school for children aged 5-11 run by the English Schools Foundation in Fo Tan, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. It opened in 1988, and the founding principal Gordon Lewis remained in this post until his retirement in 2004. He was subsequently awarded the O.B.E. in recognition of his services to education in Hong Kong. The current principal is Dr Allan Weston.

The school now has a 5-class entry and a total of around 900 children. The facilities include a swimming pool, a multi-purpose sports hall (with badminton, basketball, volleyball, and climbing facilities), and an astro-turf, all shared with Sha Tin College.

Sha Tin Junior School has recently decided to adopt the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate.

Sha Tin Junior School has houses named after the bridges across the nearby Shing Mun River. There are four houses, signifying the four major bridges.

It is named after Banyan Bridge (翠榕橋) on Fo Tan Road. The house colour is green.

It is named after Dragon Bridge (錦龍橋) on Sha Tin Road. The house colour is red.

[edit] Lion

It is named after Lion Bridge (獅子橋) on Lion Rock Tunnel Road. The house colour is yellow.

[edit] Sandmartin

It is named after Sandmartin Bridge (沙燕橋) on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road. The house colour is blue.
