[edit] Fair use debate regarding television screencaps

Currently, there is a debate on Talk:List of Lost episodes regarding whether or not use of a 1/30th stillframe visual excerpt next to a list of audiovisual works (such as List of Lost episodes or List of Desperate Housewives episodes) is in accordance with WP:Fair use, and has even resulted in the protection of the page.

If you have any opinions regarding fair use on the List of Lost episodes page, please feel free to express them as I believe these two pages are sister projects.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ep64 family toast.jpg)

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ep64 family toast.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. meco 16:09, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SFU episode guides

Hey SFUfan, just a little note to say I'm coming to the end of the first series on DVD and I'm greatly enjoying it. I started to help out with the ep pages by creating one for The Trip which needs a lot of work (music, chronology, deaths, summary is short etc.). I hope I can be of use doing some grunt work like the infoboxes and initial summaries. --Opark 77 21:37, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:House groupic.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:House groupic.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 07:01, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Upon further thought, I removed the "no source" notice, as I think you've given enough information that one can assume the copyright holder is Fox. You might want to explicitly state who holds the copyright, though. Let me know if you have any questions. —Bkell (talk) 07:05, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Wire peer review

The Wire (TV series) article is up for peer review. I noticed that you have contributed to it in the past and as an experienced editor on TV show articles any feedback you have on the current version would be welcomed.--Opark 77 01:17, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Entourage

Just wondering where you got the info on there being 20 episodes planned for the third season of Entourage? I've been looking everywhere and can't find anything. --Argash 01:18, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks man! --Argash 02:13, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Think maybe it's time to create a WikiProject for Entourage? -- Argash  |  talk  |  contribs  18:13, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
I wanted to let you know that there is currently a proposal to form an Entourage related WikiProject. If you would be interested in joining such an endeavor please add your name to the proposal and the temporary project page.  Argash  |  talk  |  contribs  04:18, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Deadwood ep312.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Deadwood ep312.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:08, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The new DH promo pics

For the new promo episode pics I've used the same fair use format you have used for all the other ones, since it was put up for deletion; but obviously I had to sign myself. Feel free to sign yourself. Dan777 18:17, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Studio 60

Hey, I noticed your change here. Just wanted to let you know that I was trying to be whimsical, in referencing the Apocalypse Now quote "Terminate with extreme prejudice", not angry. Although fanboys really do irk me something fierce. Thanks! — Scm83x hook 'em 22:06, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:List of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip episodes

Just saw your response at Talk:List of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip episodes. Can I suggest that your commentary be a little more neutral? Nfitz 19:51, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Really, I don't think phrases like you're completely out of line are appropriate; what you said didn't make sense to me (because I hadn't seen the URL imbedded in your text), so I simply stated the facts as I understood them, to clarify things; all you had to do, is correct my misunderstanding, and we would be having a nice, neutral, conversation. Please try and keep the discussion neutral and friendly, assuming that everyone has good intent. Thank, Nfitz 20:36, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stub Categories

Hi, I noticed you've created a couple of unsorted stubs on House episodes recently. It'd be helpful if you used the { {tv-episode-stub}} to sort them. Thanks! Jeodesic 21:36, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grey's Anatomy

Hey. Could you tell me your source for GA being rescheduled? — Also, i notice on the DVD images you've uploaded youve licensed them under GFDL, we canta ctually do that on wikipedia as although you took it, the episode is still copyright, {{tv-copyright}} is what it should be ;-) thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 21:30, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, time to go kicks some ABC ass.. hehe.. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 21:52, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nip/Tuck

I'm not a big fan of taking my information from forums, but I was just wondering if you were aware of the nip/tuck forum. There is a user there "ryanmurphy" who claims to be the real Ryan Murphy, and it seems like the entire forum believes that he is as well. If you read one of the topics under the Season 4 section, he mentions that the name has been changed from Diana to Corrine to Diana. I suppose if we wait to see when the actual episode is released, we'll know for sure whether this is the real Ryan Murphy or not. Anyway, in the meantime, I have no problems leaving it Corrine. Hope I didn't step on your toes...I so appreciate all of your work on the N/T articles! It's nice working alongside you on it! BigD527 01:34, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] House M.D. episodes details has been moved

I'm a rookie to Wikipedia, I dont know what should I do or who should I contact when I find this. I found that the main contributor of List of House TV series is you Sfufan2005, so I wonder if you can call those missed pages back?

I like the drama, however, there're so many allusions and references there which I cant understand because I'm not a westerner. So I need those details, what told me the medical terms, behind the scenes, allusions, goofs, overview, etc.

Check List of House episodes and you'll find most episodes details page are removed, especially season one.

[edit] List of The Sopranos episodes

It made FL! I'm happy (obviously). Thanks for your help, since there were mainly four people (you and I included) that made the necessary contributions to get it there.
Cliff smith 00:55, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Apologies for the late note, but thanks for your contributions to The Sopranos episode list and its FL status. Qjuad 21:43, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
