SF Cinema City is a movie-theater operator in Thailand. Behind the combined operations of Major Cineplex and the EGV chain, SF Cinema City is the second-largest theater chain in Thailand, with more than 100 screens in 16 locations.

The company is privately held by the Thongrompo family, headed by Suwat Thongrompo as president and his younger brother Suvit Thongrompo as managing director.
The Thongrompo family is from Eastern Thailand, where its Samarn Film Co (the SF in SF Cinema) operated movie theaters since the 1970s in Chonburi, Rayong and Chanthaburi.
The company become known as SF Cinema City in 1999 when it opened its first multiplex in Bangkok on the seventh floor of MBK Center.[1]

By the end of 2006, SF Cinema City will have nine branches in the Bangkok metropolitan area.
SF Cinema City's theater brands include:
- SF World Cinemas - "Ultra Chic" is the concept behind the company's new flagship location at CentralWorld. It will feature 15 screens consisting of two First Class screens and one Grand Theatre with over 900 seats that can also be convert into a performing-arts theater. It is designed by Gensler architects of Santa Monica, California. The cinema is expected to soft-launch by the end of 2006.[2]
- SF Cinema City – Large multiplex theaters that are packaged with restaurants, bowling lanes and karaoke booths, usually taking up an entire floor in a shopping center.
- SFX Cinema – "Boutique Chic" is the concept behind these multiplexes, which emphasize luxury. Branches include the The Emporium, Central Plaza Lat Phrao and Central Festival Phuket.
- SF Multiplex – These are smaller multiplexes located in eastern Thailand.

Expansion plans by SF Cinema City include:
- SF World Cinemas – A 15-screen multiplex located to be soft-launched in November 2006 on the 7th floor of the renovated CentralWorld.
- SF Cinema City Central Ramidhra - A six-screen cineplex located Central Group's, Central Ramindra Shopping Center in Bangkok, Thailand
- SF Cinema City Chaengwattana – To be located at the Central Group's new shopping center, Central Plaza Chaengwattana, in Pak Kret district, Nonthaburi.
- SF NK Cinema City Thapra – In a partnership with the NK chain, NK's four-screen operation will be expanded to 12 screens as part of renovations at The Mall Thapra. It will also feature a bowling alley and karaoke rooms.
- SF Coliseum Cinema City – In a partnership with the Coliseum chain. To be located at the new Jungceylon Shopping Center in Patong Beach, Phuket. It will also feature a bowling alley, game zones and karaoke rooms.
- SF Cinema City Pattaya – To be located at the Central Group's new shopping center, Central Plaza Pattaya Beach, in South Pattaya, Chonburi. It will also feauture a bowling alley, game zones and karaoke rooms.

- SF Strike Bowl - Bowling alley chain with more than 210 lanes, mainly at SF Cinema City locations.
- SF Music City - Karaoke rooms, with up to 100 in some locations, mostly tied to SF Cinema City and SF Strike Bowl locations.

For each ticket purchased at an SF Cinema branch, the purchaser receives a business-card-sized replica of a movie poster backed by a magnet. The magnets are collectors' items and are sold second-hand by movie-memorabilia dealers.
