France

Seyssel is a commune in the French département of Ain, on the right bank of the Rhône River.

The town also extends onto the left bank of the Rhône, but that forms the area generally known as Seyssel Savoie, as it a neighboring and exactly homonymous commune, also named Seyssel (the unique such case in France), situated in the Haute-Savoie département and a mere two kilometres from the département of Savoie.
