Sevvapet Road

Sevvvapet road is one of the oldest railway station laid in the chennai suburban region. It has two villages on either side of the railway track. It is no more a village as it is included into the city limits. On one side of the station there is a village named Tirur which bears the pride of having the first co operative society in india. This village has on of the oldest temple of (LORD SHIVA) which was built during the pandavas and pallavas reign. There is a river running beside this village which is called the PENNA river. This village has some of the fertile lands which is an idle land for growing cotton. There is a brewery which was up and running in the year 2004, which employs a huge no of people in the village.
