[edit] 2005-06 in Portuguese rink hockey
Someone tagged the article as non-notable. It is obviously notable, since rink hockey is a major sport in Portugal. I've contacted the user and removed the tag. Keep your good work. By the way, visit Portal:Portugal and give your help. Include rink hockey related articles in the "to do" list, if you want. Cheers! Afonso Silva 19:14, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Boas vindas
Alguma coisa User talk:Joaopais. Um abraço. Joaopais 04:50, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bom trabalho
Thanks for the kind words. There was was one section in Portuguese I hid (inside <!-- --> tags) instead of removing it. Could you check if there was anything important? - Skysmith 13:55, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Football Article Improvement Drive
You left your comment in the right place. Are there any articles you had in mind for improvement? Anyone can nominate an article, just follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. Each Sunday, the article with most votes is the one selected. You can vote for as many or as few articles as you like. Oldelpaso 15:34, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure i agree with sunday being chosen as the day.--88.105.110.173 07:31, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Superliga Results
Just to say that the results table you replaced on the Superliga page looks perfect using every browser except Firefox. Its only on firefox that the names along the top are shown horizontally instead of Vertically. Table itself is perfect and prob looks better than the one you are using at present. Niall123 20:58, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Just pointing out that this is what the table looks like when I'm using Internet Explorer. [1] Niall123 23:20, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request
This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 22:22, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] G14
The problem with the G14 template is only temporary as I change all the club pages. Please give me another 5 minutes. I'm changing the template to be joinable to other templates used by Serie A and the Premier League. Niall123 23:37, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Partly my fault. Should have done the club pages first for the extra coding. Check out the bottom of the AC Milan page to see what I'm doing. You can also use the template seperately by using the 2 tags "fb start" and "fb end" around it. Its the way all the templates for Premier League and Serie A are going. Looks better IMO. [edit] Michael Schumacher
My advice is to place a hold-on tag on the article, and I will ask an administrator to take a look. ---Charles 18:10, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
I deleted the article Responses to Michael Schumacher's retirement. This just seems like a long list of quotes, conflicting with Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. I think you could edit the main article just to say "Many important people, such as ___ and ___, commmented on his retirement" without actually including all the quotes verbatim. Thanks, NawlinWiki 18:14, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Could the quotes, which are retrivable from older versions of the Michael Schumacher article, could go to Wikiquote, which seems to be designed for this kind of thing? 4u1e
[edit] Schumacher
Good work on Schumacher - how do you feel about others editing it? I've got some ideas, but the easiest thing is probably to implement them. :) --4u1e 06:42, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'll have a go then, although it probably won't be this evening now. I'll warn you now, some of my ideas will make it rather shorter- I'll try and do it in such a way that it is easily reversible! Cheers. --4u1e 16:37, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm just having a go at it now. Cheers. --4u1e 07:33, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- OK - I'm done. Mostly editing for length, rather than neutrality - where I think you've done a very good job. I'm wondering now whether, in the context of Schumacher's overall career, the 1998 British GP is noteworthy enough to mention here? What do you think? Feel free to revert my changes by the way - happy to discuss and start again if you wish. Good work on the main article too - looking much better now. --4u1e 08:12, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- Fair enough - I was working from the view that if we need to get it shorter, it usually easier to over do it and then add stuff back in - gives us a better perspective on what's important. Let's see how it does down in the article! Cheers. --4u1e 09:45, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Consecutive races
please discuss the races with out retirement thing on his talk page so we ccan sort this out thanks--Lucy-marie 16:23, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: [2] on Michael Schumacher
Thanks for that, I didn't realise they were serving different purposes. And no, two is not too much, four is overkill though! Best regards -- Mark83 18:24, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Team Orders
I think there must be a better source to cite - not that I've found one yet. The thing is, team orders weren't unequivocally banned - the rule says something like "team orders which affect the outcome of a race". -- Ian Dalziel 12:15, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- Why isn't that reference good? It is about the fact that team orders were banned after the two incidents with the ferraris in 2002, in Austria and USA. If you read the reference well, you'll see "The rule forbidding teams from determining the finish of their drivers resulted from Ferrari instructing Barrichello to let five-time champion chumacher pass him to win the Austrian Grand Prix earlier this year, and Barrichello winning the U.S. Grand Prix when Schumacher slowed down in a bid for a dead-heat finish.". This proves what is stated in the article. I think if something has to change, is the wikipedia article to match the reference, not the opposite. Cheers--Serte 13:32, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

- True - the statement in Wikipedia is even more sweeping, I hadn't noticed that. -- Ian Dalziel 14:23, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

- By way of a ref for the banning, see this:[3]. Those words now seem to appear in the sporting regulations for each season, which are also publised at www.fia.com. 4u1e

[edit] Football table templates
There are a number of issues with that template:
- There are no obvious benefits, as the table syntax is pretty simple already.
- The colours should be parametrised, not part of the name of each template.
- Standardised columns prevents extra information being added to the table later, such as a 'notes' column.

[edit] Brabham
On the basis of taking a short break from Schumacher, I'm taking another stab at my pet project: Brabham Racing Organisation.
I'm too close to it to see it's faults, would you mind having a look and either editing or commenting on any improvements it needs. I'm thinking of putting it up for FA shortly.
Cheers. 4u1e 13:38, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] PMs Template
Excellent work, but should we not include António de Spínola and/or the National Salvation Junta before Palma Carlos? I did after all do something similar with Template:PortuguesePresidents. Biruitorul 06:03, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well, if that's what the list says, then let's stick with it. I think I may put the Junta in parentheses right before Palma Carlos, just to indicate that someone was in fact heading the Portuguese government during those three exciting weeks in spring 1974. Biruitorul 10:51, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- It looks fine. Thank you. Biruitorul 11:09, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Platini translation
My French is fairly basic, but I had a go at translating the Saint Etienne section in your sandbox. Its paraphrased in places, the bit I'm most unsure of is using mixed in place of bilan mitigé. Oldelpaso 11:45, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Your AWB Edits
Hi! We appreciate your enthusiam editing with AutoWikiBrowser, but it has been noticed you are making what are reffered to as 'insignificants edits' with the software. All though these may not be major, and do no harm per se, it is a wasteful use of Wikipedia resources. One of the edits in question is: here Please could you refrain from making similar edits in future. To make your edits more meaniningful, we recommend enabling RegexTypoFix. This will give a spell checking element to your edit, and if it makes a spelling change, it is then no longer an insignificant error! If you find yourself being bored clicking ignore, AWB has the function to automatically skip pages with no changes made. Select the check boxes to make AWB 'Skip article when no changes made', 'Skip non-existang pages' and when RegexTypoFix is enabled, you can ask it to 'Skip articles when no typo is fixed'
