if the DOB is wrong, in changing it,, it is probably best to not state the incorrect DOB as well. i deleted such a mention. also, best not to state the source of the alleged true DOB in the article itself.--johno95

I just watched the feature on WikiPedia on the CBS News Sunday Morning. In it Serena looks at the article of herself and says "They have the wrong birtdate.". When she looked at it on TV it said October 7th, 2006. Thhis is the date that is listed on imdb.com and her own website [1] shows her birthdate as October of 1970. Unless the day of the month is wrong and its been propogated around the net from incorrect sources. I think this is a case of her not wanting people to know she was 36 years old even though she is. When I heard her say it, I thought it was funny that I was more likely to believe WikiPedia's information than a news anchor on TV talking about her own self. -- Suso 15:19, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

please, someone, correct me if this 12/10/06 broadcast is a rerun. this program is famous for that. if you know my broadcast date is wrong, please correct it. if it is correct, please state it here. --johno95

I doubt the broadcast date is wrong. If you notice how many people suddenly came here to correct this article and that there was little on the talk page prior to today, its likely that if it was broadcast in the past, that there would have been discussion about it in the past. --Suso 15:35, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Her correct birthdate is October 13, 1970, according to a birth announcement, "Mrs. Altschul Has Child", which ran in the Oct. 25, 1970 New York Times. --Lph 16:48, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for putting the citation in there. I could add a quote if you want but it wouldn't add much; the announcement is rather brief and "just-the-facts". --Lph 23:15, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

On December 10, 2006, on the weekly news magazine CBS News Sunday Morning, she reported a story on Wikipedia and compared it to other encyclopedic sources. To point to the issue of inaccuracies on this website, she looked up the entry about herself. "They spell my name right," Altschul pointed out. "But in the first line they get my birthday wrong." Multiple sources on the internet, including the Internet Movie Database, list varied dates for her birthday.
