Serviles

Serviles are a creation in the Geneforge Series of roleplaying games created by Spiderweb Software. They are considered by Shapers to be the most useful creation; strong and hardy, with opposing thumbs and enough intelligence to work independently. Serviles are generally looked down upon by their creators as nothing more than children.
Some Serviles aspire to be more and have joined various uprisings during the long history of the Shapers.

In Geneforge, the player learns the origins of the Shapers, and comes across an ancient specter that tells him/her about a terrible war centuries in the past that transformed his people into the Serviles.
