Sergio Oliva (born 4 July 1941) sometimes referred to as "The Myth" was one of the first bodybuilders to win the Mr. Olympia competition. He was the only man to ever defeat Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Mr Olympia contest.

In 1961, at the Pan Am Games in Kingston, Jamaica Sergio Oliva escaped from the Castro-controlled Cuba as he, and the entire Cuban weightlifting team were granted asylum.

After arriving in America he struggled to survive. It was said that he worked for some 12 hours a day followed by grueling workouts in the gym.
