Serge Brammertz

Serge Brammertz is a Belgian former federal prosecutor and is currently the deputy prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. On January 11, 2006 UN Secretary General Kofi Annan appointed him head of the International Investigation Commission into the murder of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri. As such, he replaces Detlev Mehlis who stepped down in December 2005.
