The Sequoia Park Zoo is located in Eureka, California, USA and is operated by the City of Eureka. It is a small admission-free zoo whose mission is to inspire wonder, understanding and respect for the natural world by providing fun, rewarding, educational experiences that encourage meaningful connections between animals, humans, and our environment. The Zoo offers educational programs for school-age children and a Barnyard, where kids can interact with goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, and alpacas. Other zoo residents include: black bear, river otters, tamarins, snakes, spider monkeys, Bill the chimpanzee, wallabys, and flamingos. The Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the zoo's mission through fundraising and public outreach programs. The Foundation operates a gift shop and cafe.
The Sequoia Park Zoo is situated against the backdrop of the redwood forests of Sequoia Park.
