The Truth in Video Game Rating Act is proposed by Senator Sam Brownback. The act would require the ESRB to have access to the full content of and hands-on time with the games it was to rate, rather than simply relying on the video demonstrations submitted by developers and publishers. [8][9]
The Video Game Decency Act is introduced by Senator Fred Upton. The aim of the legislation is "To prohibit deceptive acts and practices in the content rating and labeling of video games". [12]
