Sepher ha-bahir is one of the oldest texts of the Kabbalah philosophy. It was first published in Provence, France in 1176, and authorship is attributed to Rabbi Nehuniah ben haKana, a Talmudic sage. Its name is translated as "The Book of Illumination" or "The Book of Clear Light".
