Category talk:Sephardic Orthodox rabbis

[edit] New category

This category has been created in an effort to streamline the existing Orthodox rabbis category and be able to put a number of its members into an objective, completely factual and highly practical new category. Before any complaints (constructive criticism always welcome) I'd just like to remind everyone that User:IZAK has created upwards of five large categories recently - Haredi rabbis, Hasidic rabbis, Modern Orthodox rabbis, Religious Zionist Orthodox rabbis, and very recently, Rosh yeshivas. Each of these categories contain a large number of super-categories.

A common feature of their formation was that the creator, IZAK, never brought the matter up for discussion beforehand, never seeking concensus. Indeed, his enthusiastic category creation is not without controversy, irking users such as myself, Telzer, Shuki, Gidonb and Bachrach44, among others.

However, this new category is in a deiffernt league of simplicity and effectiveness. Indeed, IZAK himself has created the sub-sub category Sephardic Haredi rabbis in Israel, and I trust that this new category is a far more practical and useful arrangement. I also hope to gain concensus on this issue. Many thanks, Nesher 15:33, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
