- "I" is a valid and complete sentence if uttered in response to a question such as "Who's in charge here?", although many native speakers would say "I am" or "Me" instead. The verb is understood. Andrewa 21:21, 9 May 2004 (UTC)

- A complete sentence needs to be wholly understood as a single unit. If it requires context from another sentence to be understood, than it is not complete.
