Talk:Senator O'Connor College School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm sorry but I am a former graduate of Senator O'Connor College and school. No, it does not "mainly offer Chinese Saturday school". It excels in leadership committees such as Camp Olympia, ESP, sports, the arts, and the academics. Please correct this.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 130.15.204.150 (talk • contribs) 2006-04-06.

I cut and pasted the person who did a little history about our high school onto the article. I also edited it a little.
I also went there back from 1993 to 1998. In the article he states that there used to be a swimming pool. Yes there was but it wasn't there when I started in 93. Rumor had it some one drowned so they buried it. If they did buried it had to be that someone or some people were sneaking in there so the reason but its likely not. Its most likely that they got rid of it because of lack of funding, The 90s were messed up because of the Conservative government with their cutbacks. It effected our Sports programs to be cut back because teachers didn't want to do coaching pro bono.
I remember going there when the Conservative government decided to make me and my fellow grade 9s the very first test subjects of their new ciriculum calling it a 'distreamed' program. This was supposed to gradually ease us into high school by having us stay with the same people the whole year most of the time while and now credits were given until the end of the school year.--Justwisted 06:27, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
I might be attending this school next year. Do you think this is a good choice? 65.94.156.61 01:20, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
I went there and graduated almost 10 years ago in 97. I would say yeah its great. I came back for a visit and I was delighted to see many of the same teachers I had still teach there along with some of the students I went to school with there. I found it very easy going and time flew by fast. I don't know how it is now but when they have a open house for potential new students go take a visit and see the new building it just open in 2005, when I went the school originally could only hold 700 students and it had portables scattered on the property. I would say the school is now a top notch facility with great teachers now.--Justwisted 04:39, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I went to the open house, the school looks great. :D I've already submitted my high school application, I'm going there! Thanks for the comments on the school, it helped me make my decision. :P 67.70.39.49 03:08, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] School Alumni
I think the our 'Famous Alumi' should have the years they attended the school (eg. 1993 - 1998) not the years where they where they have spent with thier careers. Wes Williams seems to have his year of birth attached to his name and Larry Murphy has his career years in the NHL attached too.--Justwisted 04:31, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
