Senta Josephtal

Senta Josephtal was born in 1912 in Berlin, Germany.

Joined “Habonim” movement in 1933 and worked in HeHalutz Center in Berlin from 1934 to 1938.

Came to Israel with husband, Giora Josephtal, and founded training group that created Kibbutz “Gal-Ed” in 1945.

She was a member of Knesset during 1955-1956 and 1976-1977 for the Labour party.

In December 2004 she was asked by the kibbutz movement to retire from her activities.

She currently resides in Kibbutz Gal-Ed.
